Stalemate in the Park

After a week absence in league action , Tusser barely have manpower for this encounter with old rivals HP11. With almost half the 1st team players on exam/injury leave , Tusser will need to dig in hard to provide a good result ags HP11 which have done well so far in the league

Tusser line up with 4-4-2. Francis & Peng took up the central mid role and excel reasonably well. Tusser have few pot shots at goals in the 1st 10 mins but did not really trouble the HP keeper. The battle is mostly in the midfield area and that’s about the pattern of the game for the 1st half. Fatt show the way to defend from the front as he keep hassling the HP defense.

Tusser rode their luck as HP managed to pierce thru Tusser defense leaving one on one with Wenjie. However the agility & acrobatic of Wenjie made him managed to dive low & guided the ball to safety. Tusser who were much shaper and more inventive in the second half. The order of the day was to keep track of their speedy winger and our defense did well. The game thus ended with honours even. 0-0 . A draw was a fair result but it give Tusser much to cheer about as they managed to keep a clean sheet against the Highest scorer in the division and also continued their climb back to familiar territory.

Our timekeeper have noticed the game for 2 half last less than 40 mins each. Tusser have not seen this referee before , maybe he did not know we play 40mins per half or is he rushing for something. We hope that there is no more short change of playing time in the future.

Although with no goals to show for , Fatt won the MOM. Fatt show the team how to defend from the front. His tireless movement off the ball also cause panic in the HP defense. As the oldest player in the team , he show the team how to put in crunching tackles and win the 50/50 balls.

Next week , we will prove to BIFC that our 2 victory against them are no fluke and thus extend our unbeaten streak to another game.
