The management is adamant that the season is not over yet although the team is still rock bottom. Even with an unofficial record crowd could not prevent Tusser from going down to their heaviest defeat yet in the league. The senior players almost blew the roof with their tremenduous support.
Has winning the championship success got over our head? Or are we going to be a ‘Sunderland’ wannabe ?( Sunderland promoted as Champions but bottom in table now)With the half season nearing , Tusser will have to seek for divine inspiration to their next points in the league.
Tusser started with a controversial 4-3-2-1 formation with the 3 central midfielder in the middle of the park. Alvin deputized in stopper role & did well.
The team defended stoutly on the kick off, ISA really made use of the field well and made us chase the ball. I thought it was an even half until a stunning half volley strike broke the deadlock. Our defense held their line well, taunting every ball in the penalty box. Tusser with abundant of reserves support made changes early in the half.
ISA got their second goal after the striker broke the offside trap & lob Wenjie. As the ball trickled its way towards the goal , Alvin could not hook it off the line, Tusser with some new young & energetic introduction still failed to penetrate the well marshaled ISA backline. The third was scored with a simple tap in after their winger found space in the left flank. The whole game was played fairly without much incident.
To all neturals, I would have to say never write us off. Watch this space & hopefully Tusser will not disappoint you if you decide to stake a wager on us.
Kudos to the backline line up in the first half of Alvin, Wan, Shern, Lanxer. I thought they did well and covered inches of the grass well in their defending.
Next week we will meet our closest rival Tembusu who have scored a 9-3 victory over Italia. This is a match we must not lose grip on , lets’ start to devise a winning method on how to improve our team play. Keep the suggestions coming.
