Tusser Rangers was left to rue those wasted chances after their 0-1 loss to Racing in Turf City Pitch 1. Tusser was buoyant after last week victory and was hoping to carry on with this run.
Tusser started cautiously , employing an extra man in defense. Fair enough , I think both sides have little goal mouth action to show for. However , when there is a wonderful chance for Tusser to go ahead. Eugene after making a late run from defense with only the keeper to beat. Alas , his shot sailed well wide , definitely not from someone who have recently been in the Tiger Cup Challenger Top 10.
Second Half started in similar fashion as the first. The defense for both sides are on top of their game. It had to take a mistake from our defender who was hesitant in clearing their lines to let in the Racing striker who slotted home with ease. It sprung the game into life , Tusser then picked up their gear in search of the elusive equalizer. Then came another highly disputable disallowed goal. The referee has originally signaled a genuine goal for Tusser. However, he overturned his own decision much to astonishment in the Tusser camp. We hope this certain decision will not affect us come the end of the season.
Try as we might, we cannot muster good attempts to trouble the keeper. We are missing those quality balls in the final third of the field. We are just like a Lion without Tooth in attack.
On a positive note, the collective effort of the team has shown once again. There is no MOM today rather a Man of the Moment is being targeted at Eugene. For being involved in 2 dramatic points in the game. For his missed chance & passiveness defending leading to the goal. We jolly know well that he will be coming back mentally stronger next week just like his size & built. Better , tougher every week.Haha
I hope the players out there will mature fast enough as we can see lots of potential in the team. We are still on the verge of strengthening so sometimes we have to throw in young & inexperienced players to let them have a run in the game. If our 1st team players can play regularly , we shall be the dark horses starting from now.
