1st Half Report: Tusser 3 - 2 Reds Aim FC
In the early stage of the game, Alvin scored a terrific goal into the top corner of the opponent goal post. This somehow gave us the slight confidence. Tusser played with fast counter attack football and Peng did especially well on the right flank providing good crosses and pulling their left back and allowing space for our attacker. Soon Tusser was 3 goals up with goals from Alvin (2) and Huimin.
However, the opponent did not gave up. They started to close down our midfielders fast and push up their defence as close to the halfway line. Its not often that Tusser encounter teams with defence that play so high up. These gave them the much possession they required as our strikers and wingers are caught offside much too easily. Tusser's game play starts to break up. The midfielder and defenders did not communicate well enough. Opponents were pushing more players up front and surprisingly, the opponent midfielders always seems to have alot of time on the ball to make that pass. (We need to close down the opponent midfielders fast).

The opponent strikers are diminutive and speedy. They also started to read our offside traps and began making deep running. Both the opponent goals were break from our offside trap. This was also my fault to push the defence too high up numerous time and made a couple of wrong offside judgement. (In general sense, Tusser defence should have adjusted the defence line fast enough to adapt to the opponent's reading of our game play).
2nd Half Report: Tusser 7- 2 Reds Aim FC
This half really shows what Tusser Elite is all about. Good touches, closing down of the opponent midfield, cross field passes, deep running and support.
Forwards were clinical and shots were from everywhere. Forwards were holding the ball well and numerous good touches and communication with the midfielders to move out of difficult situation.
Midfielders were closing down the opponent fast and effectively cutting off their supply and reducing them to playing the long inaccurate ball forward. Midfielders were seen supporting the play at the flanks, defence and forward area.
Defence played deeper to counter the deep running with a sweeper role to cut off their dashes and through ball. Defence starts to play more compact and there were lots of covering and understanding between the back 4 or currently nicknamed by the fans as "FAB 4" :p
Key take away:
1. Must adapt to different playing style on the field and not till 2nd half.
2. Opponent defence play high up, forwards must learn to stay put and let the midfielders do their deep running.
3. We must start to kill the game in the 1st half and not always wait till 2nd half. I really have no idea why it always happen.
