With a totally new venue , Tusser Ranger will bid to do a Double over the second placed team which have a good sequence of run since their opening day defeat against us. The strong and some occasionally bolts of lightning threatened to cancel the match but it was never to be. The field looks exceptionally good , very suitable for Tusser.
Tusser Rangers named only made one changes from last week match , with the silky midfielder coming in Jerald.Tusser started on the backfoot , clearly trying to adapt to the large playing surface. Hibs used the flanks well as they launched their attacks.
However, Tusser regain their normal composure after 20 mins, they started playing their smooth football with the influential Jit tong running the show from the middle of the park. Lots of one-two & triangle passes were evident in the match. In one attack from the left flank, a ball was swung , Kar Fatt latched on to the pass and put the ball past the keeper in the corner. With the advantage, Tusser play more enterprising football in search for the second. The wingers Peng, Derek started to come into the game in the closing15 mins. Derek came close to scoring in the 35 mins with a cross cum shot flashing past the goal mouth. Tusser changed to playing 3 centre back and gave Tong more license to roam forward. Converting the fullbacks to more wingbacks roles. In the 37 mins, he spread a terrific defense splitting pass to Kar fatt who collected it, and again scored with a left foot past the flat footed keeper in the same corner. Tusser went into the break with a comfortable 2 goals lead.
Tusser started the second half similar like the first, very lethargic, letting the Hibs come into the game. Hibs front man holds the ball well to his players latch on to his hold up play. Only after 15 mins then Tusser regain their passing acts together however against the run of play and confused Tusser Defense, Hibs managed to beat the offside trap and with an almost 4 V 2 situation, you know hibs have to capitalize on this advantage. Well , they did it , with a powerful shot with Wenjie can only get a hand to it. Suddenly the game is sliced open with the lead down to one goal only. In one moment of the game, the Hibs captain have a bleeding from a hand swing from Jerald which was clearly accidental. The game stopped for quite a while. The howler of the game belong to Shern who put clear by Kar fatt , with plenty of time & space , the normal sharp shooting Shern elected to shoot first time but it missed the wrong side of the post. The remaining minutes see the match in ding dong fashion. However , Tusser maintain their workmanlike performance in the closing mintues. With the referee blowing the whistle , all Tusser players were relieved after yet another dominating performance.
We will take heart from this performance , we hardly have games where we can stroke around the ball with ease , making the ball work for us. Althought we still cant keep a clean sheet , we will thrived a keep one eventually. We will learn from it , another lapse of concentration let the Hibs come into the game almost ruining the hard work of the whole team .
