Tusser Ranger started the morning figuring which players have gone missing. With the referee also coming late , Tusser Rangers hope the delay wpould see more players turning up soon.Eventually started the match with only 11 available players ,not the situation the club should be facing with the large squad. The idea was not to get injured in rash challenges in hope for more players to come.
Tusser Rangers started the match with great emphatics , controlling the game & missing some guilt edge chances in front of goal. However, with another ball pumped up by MOM Wan , it went over the last defender. In the 50/50 challenge with Keeper , Shern (with a almost a head shorter) managed to head the ball over the keeper thus Derek was left to tap in with a open goal. The half ended with the players exhausted.
The second half with the opponent determine to come back with only a goal down & true it was . They clearly think that the game is for thier taking. They began attacking the flank & almost got their rewards. But the strikers seem to have hands in their head. Tusser have a goal scored by Shern but disallowed by the referee with a very marginal offside which was clearly debatable. With only one subs ,the rest of the team have to carry on. The breakthrough came for Olympique , an innocuous looking cross ball was swang into penalty box by their winger, with a mis communication , Ian flicked the ball into the back of the net with the keeper totally stranded. ( The own goal was reminiscent to the OG by Steven Warnock in the LIverpool Vs Birmingham game )
Clearly the goal rocked the spirit of the whole team , as they struggle to cope with the pressure and Heat.Peng Yeow clearly still suffering from the effects of his injury have to carry on with no subs available. Tusser Rangers was trying to play out time and get the draw. However in the closing minutes of the game with a long ball forward by Peng the olympique last man accidentally head the ball backward.
Alan was free with only the keeper to beat.Eventually he managed to compose himself and lob it into the open goal. A sigh of relief shown by the whole team after another hard fought win. Good play by Olympique , as they show they are determined to get out of the last placing in the league.
Another scrappy win,but its the result that counts. Its back to the drawing board again , as Tusser Rangers will try to access their attendance & manpower for next week , crunching tie against Holland Park 11.
Special mention to the seniors Shern , Alan, Ian , Hom who have shown age is juz a number , they have certainly set some example to the younger counterparts in the team.
Wan & Yeow completed the match although still suffering from slight flu & knee injury respectively.
